Eddie Plascencia is a native of San Jose who started his coaching career in 2018. Assisting in youth training camps, he fell in love with the importance of developing the fundamentals.

6 years later Eddie’s resume is quite impressive with 3 seasons as a High School Varsity Basketball assistant coach,3 seasons as a High School JV Basketball Head Coach and 2 seasons of AAU (amateur athletics union) Head Coaching experience.
During his time at KIPP San Jose Collegiate under Varsity basketball Head Coach Sunny Sing, Eddie’s impact was immediate, as he assisted the team in making the playoffs for the first time in 5 years.
“He brings energy, passion and knowledge for the game” said Sunny “He’s been in their shoes, so he can relate and he’s someone the players know they can count on”. In his last season coaching under Coach Sunny Sing at KIPP SJC, Eddie assisted the team in winning its First League Championship while going undefeated (10-0) in conference for the first time in school History.
As a former standout High school player, and 6 years of competitive play, Eddie provides invaluable experience and a unique perspective. Inducted into the Leyva Middle School Hall Of Fame in 2008 for Basketball Honors. Eddie a scholar and an athlete earned MVP Honors while holding a 3.5 GPA. Taking his talents to Live Oak, a High school in Morgan Hill California, he led the league in rebounding & scoring his freshman year. It was no surprise he was called up to varsity his sophomore season. Building off his success, Eddie lead his team in scoring and rebounding his JR and Senior years. Leading his team to back to back playoff berths he earned Team MVP and 1st team All- League Honors twice.
Eddie is currently coaching as a High school JV Head Coach for the Branham Bruins. Going on his 3rd year as a Head Coach, Eddie and the Bruins look to earn their next League Championship.
